Use this module to enhance the image amplitudes of input 2D or 3D images to correct for the modulation transfer function (“MTF”) of the detector used during image acquisition.
Parameters | Description |
Fill filter with zeros | When checked, the 2D filter function in the corners will be set to zero. |
MTF data - Internal | Use supplied MTF functions. |
→ MTF data from | Specify which supplied MTF function to use |
MTF data - External | Use custom MTF function, which has to be supplied as input. |
Input | Description |
Micrographs | Stack of 2D or 3D images to be corrected for the MTF. |
MTF | two dimensional MTF data of the detector used to record the data. |
Output | Description |
1d rot avg of power spec of output | One dimensional rotational average of the power spectrum of the corrected output images. |
1d rot avg of power spec of input | One dimensional rotational average of the power spectrum of the input images. |
Corrected | MTF corrected stack of images. |
Enhancement curve | Factors used to scale the spatial frequencies of the input data.. |

In this paragraph, the “HOW a logic works under the hood” and WHY someone should use it can be elaborated with higher detail. Describes a scenario in an image processing workflow where this logic can be used to solve the resulting problem. Also, wikipages, publications or anything else describing the theory behind an algorithm should be linked here, if applicable.
